The Missing Children:

Lyra discovers that children in her world, including her friend 

Roger, are being abducted by a group called the Gobblers.

The Gobblers are part of a larger conspiracy involving experiments 

on children and their connection to Dust.

Mrs. Coulter and the North:

Lyra is taken under the wing of the charming but mysterious Mrs. 

Coulter, who hides dark secrets.

Learning of Mrs. Coulter's ties to the Gobblers, Lyra escapes and 

joins forces with a group of nomads, the Gyptians, who are 

searching for their stolen children.

Armored Bears and Witches:

Lyra’s journey takes her to the frozen North, where she meets allies 

like Iorek Byrnison, an exiled armored bear, and the witch Serafina 

Pekkala, who has her own agenda tied to Lyra’s fate.

Lyra uncovers the horrifying truth about the experiments conducted 

by the Magisterium and the Gobblers. These experiments involve 

separating children from their daemons, a process that has 

devastating consequences.
